Renew Hope Camps
Renew Hope Camps consist of four key components: Pro-generative Gardening, Creative Arts, Equine Interactions, and Nature Activities. Individuals of all ages are welcome to attend. Camps will be held throughout the year and are divided by age groups (see schedule below).

Children, youth and adults learn about pro-generative gardening techniques and enjoy hands-on experiences in the Gardening Module.

The Equine Interactions Module allows campers of all ages to address deep places of personal healing by forging bonds with the horses.

Unique creative arts opportunities provide campers with ways to express themselves in a positive atmosphere in the Creative Arts Module.

The Nature Module consists of a forested walking trail that runs along a natural stream at Our Farm. Campers can ponder upon the unspoiled setting and reflect on their place in the world. Many campers find the area peaceful and calming because the solitude around them.

OUR FARM Hosted Beckman
Mental Health Renew Hope Camps
A selection of youth clients from Beckman Mental Health engaged in the four modules of Renew Hope Camps through a 6-week partnership program during the summer of 2024. This was a test project to determine if the partnership will be extended for future summers. The partnership provided the young clients with diverse therapeutic activities to improve their overall mental health. Camps were held from June-July 2024. Josie Edwards, counselor at Beckman, led the camps with the assistance of OUR FARM volunteers. Robin Walenceus, volunteer for OUR FARM, worked closely with Josie to ensure the success of the camps. Robin works diligently at OUR FARM in caring for the horses and helping to organize other equine volunteers for events, including the previous Pilot Renew Hope Camp in October 2023. Together, Josie and Robin brought years of experience to the youth camps this summer. Other volunteers assisted with art, the nature trail and gardening activities each week.
