Groups

Pictured are students from Greenwood Christian School's Horticultural Class. Group volunteers help with gardening, construction and land maintenance. 


GCS Work Day 
(April 17, 2025)

  • Adults needed to lead student clean-up crews
  • Many projects need to be completed before Ag-Art Tour in May
  • Adults and teens who can move debris, make repairs, stain wood, plant seeds, create walking paths, cut limbs
  • Men or strong women needed to cut up trees, limbs, and remove
  • Weed eating, landscaping needed at front entrance
  • Cleaning bathrooms, sorting materials into storage boxes, etc

Gardening

Young girl helps with watering seedlings. Children can help with small but meaningful tasks at OUR FARM.


March 2025 (see calendar for dates)

  • Spring Garden Bed preparations and planting 
  • Spring and Summer Garden Bed care (watering, weeding, etc)
  • Assisting with garden beds during GCS Work Day (April 17)
  • Leading and assisting with Garden Module at Ag-Art Tour (May 17) and Summer Camps 2025
  • Teaching Garden classes (must be knowledgeable about Pro-generative and Organic Gardening/Farming

Land Care

Three volunteers move soil to gardening beds and newly planted trees. There are many land preparations needed this Spring on OUR FARM.

  • Cutting trees and limbs; removal

Construction

Skilled carpenters and helpers are always needed at OUR FARM. There are many construction projects planned for Spring and Summer 2025.

  • Resetting fence posts, repair fencing 
  • Staining and painting wood in barn and bathrooms
  • Electrical and plumbing
  • Carpenters who can build needed structural elements for gardening, animals or barn

Animal Care

Daily Care

  • Volunteers to assist with daily care of animals (water, feeding etc.) as directed by Lead Volunteer or Farm Manager
